Polar – Helped Feb. 2019

The Sergei Foundation is not able to help with heart-worm treatments because that is a preventable situation with veterinary medicine. However, Polar here was tested prior to adoption in Jan. 2018 from an organized rescue organization who had tested him a h/w  negative. The owner religiously obtained preventative medicine, purchased after adoption, from his own veterinarian which we could verify. So, we are able to help Polar get his heartworm treatment! Obviously this owner was doing his best to be a great pet parent! And sometimes false negatives do happen in h/w tests, or it just hadn’t shown up yet if was early infestation.
