Mia is a six year old Westie/Terrier mix. The family adopted her from a rescue six years ago. Mia got out of her outside pen and was hit by a car. Mia seemed okay but was not walking, and her left rear leg was injured. They feared internal bleeding because of some blood when she went to the bathroom. The family was denied for Care Credit and in financial need. The Sergei Foundation was able to get Mia a vet exam and Xrays. She has a broken pelvis and tail bone, but no internal injuries were found. Mia should be healthy again with rest and restricted movement for about a month or so.
