Marley is a two-year-old, male cat with the qualities of a Turkish angora breed… very, very soft. The owner went out of town for a week to a funeral and when they came back, he had already lost weight, was sitting in front of the air conditioner and was breathing heavily. The Sergei Foundation was able to pay for a vet visit and x-rays to find he had one collapsed lung and fluid in the other; he was sent home with meds and seemed to be doing okay.

Unfortunately, about two weeks later, Marley didn’t seem to get much better and developed a lump on his neck. The Sergei Foundation paid for a follow up visit for further diagnostic to find out Marley most likely has lymphoma. The vet said that his health most likely would not support definitive diagnostics, and Sergei Foundation does not support cancer treatment. Our hearts go out to Marley and his owners.
