Luna is just 6-months old. She was not walking well and the owner took her to the vet. From birth, she does not have developed hip sockets, so the legs are not “staying.” The Sergei Foundation funded her to be seen by an orthopedic vet (versus ER facility) in early November. It was confirmed that this case is severe, and Luna would need this surgery on BOTH sides in order to be able to walk and support her growth.

Our ER program is funding the first surgery on Dec. 3rd, and has used our maximum award of $1,000. Donations that come in may be designated to Luna’s second surgery that will need to take place after her recovery, in 2020.
