Lucky was hit by a car on June 12th. He was rushed to an emergency vet and was in ICU. Two surgeries were needed– a broken front left leg and a broken femur inside the hip joint.
With the expense of initial x-rays and ICU, the parents were denied for the full amount of Care Credit needed to perform the two surgeries that were needed and did not have additional personal credit. The Sergei Foundation was able to help by granting $225 toward the surgery cost, although this was only about 25% of what was needed; thankfully, the owners obtained a family loan for the balance.
