While visiting family on a VA farm, this 7-year old, mixed terrier chased feral cat and broke the ankle on her back leg while running though a patch of yucca plant. Ellie saw an emergency vet there who put a temporary splint on until she could see her regular vet.
Ellie May had surgery to correct a rarely seen transverse fracturecal caltancaus in the ankle/achilles. It required a full-leg cast and is a delicate recovery process. Ellie needs your prayers for complete healing.
