The Sergei Foundation is all about happy endings. But sometimes it’s about helping when all else is lost, going on faith it will all be okay. Sometimes there is not a happy ending, but the feeling that all that was done that could have been done is priceless to heal the heart when that rainbow bridge has been crossed.

In Co-Co’s case, she was a 13-year old mixed breed that had a grapefruit sized tumor affecting her walking and excretion. It was not thought to be cancerous, but a biopsy would have been more than the surgery cost to remove. The Sergei Foundation assisted with surgery costs. Co-Co came out of surgery okay, but unfortunately passed that evening – exact cause unknown.
