Chaos is a 6 month old Pitbull. The owner thought he had an obstruction in his intestines after he “chewed” a leather wallet. The Sergei Foundation funded a vet exam and basic testing which showed Chaos actually had Parvo.
Although the owners had obtained Parvo vaccinations from a Tractor Supply store, they had no receipt and no proof of vaccination; therefore we could not proceed with further treatment funding (Parvo is a preventative disease with proper vaccination and is therefore not funded by The Sergei Foundation). However, the good news is, since the vet thought some resistance to the disease may be present because of the vaccinations, it was suggested that Chaos may improve by medication. The owner’s paid for the medicine and it worked!
