Ben – Helped April 2016

Ben here had an emergency splenectomy today. Even at 11-years young, prognosis looked good as there was no abdominal fluid (which would have possibly indicated it was cancerous). However, Ben ended up being humanely euthanized shortly after his surgery today; his spleen was removed along with what turned out to be a 7-pound tumor. – too traumatic for this guy, and he just had too much bleeding. Rest easy, big guy.  Part of what The Sergei Foundation does is help the owner(s) know that everything was done to save their pet instead of having to carry any guilt of not being able to help him because of finances. Our thoughts go out to his mom, Vicki.
