This is not one of our happy-ending stories, but our foundation helps people have alternatives and peace of mind knowing that all that could be done was done, which is that kind of case for Snowball. She was attacked by two dogs in the yard. She had gone to their regular vet earlier that day but could not afford Xrays, but said their vet said she could have a punctured lung and Snowball could not stand up. We immediately assisted them to go to ER/24-7 care for an exam and Xrays. This poor girl did have a broken pelvis and extensive wounds, but since she could not feel in her back legs it was determined the spinal cord was severed and the humane thing to do was to humanely euthanize. The ER facility did this as a courtesy for the owners. At least she was out of pain quickly and the owners were aware of the facts and could make that decision.
