Waylan – Helped June 2013

Waylan is a seven month old Minpin. The owner was taking out the trash when some wire fell out on the floor… Waylan ate it before the owner could do anything. A vet xray showed the wire in the stomach, but it was bent and “fish hook” shaped; a dangerous item to try and let pass naturally as it would most likely tear the intestines! Induced vomiting did not help so surgery was necessary. The owner was awarded some Care Credit which paid for all previous treatment, but not enough to cover the surgery. The Sergei Foundation is happy to have helped saved Waylan’s life by proving the additional funds needed for surgery. Owner is so happy! Waylan can be part of his increasingly growing family; he is getting married soon and they are expecting a child in three months!
