Meet Baby, a 4-year old girl with determination! Baby tried to jump over an actual baby gate, and ended up with a herniated disk. The Sergei Foundation was able to pay for an exam, and the vet referred her to a specialist for surgery or euthanization, as she had no use of her back legs 🙁
Faced with a surgery that costs thousands of dollars, the Sergei Foundation could not support that, but put the owners in contact with Eddie’s Wheels to see if we could help them pay for a cart instead. The owner’s followed the measurements and actually made their own cart! We are still concerned Baby isn’t getting the proper balance, care from the homemade cart and are encouraging the owners to check into a professionally made one that we would pay for… but it is ultimately up to them to make that decision.
In the meantime, owners say Baby is back to chasing the cat! That is good news 🙂
