Jewel – Helped Aug. 2015

Jewel first received aid from our general vet fund for a vet to examine her tumor.  Initially, because of sheer size, the vet thought it was cancerous. Of course, they needed an aspiration to get more information. Since the Sergei Foundation does not assist with cancer, we could not fund the test.  The owners raised some funds and went back for the test… which showed it to be benign.  Happily, The Sergei Foundation then was able to assist with the removal of this huge tumor for Jewel as it was affecting her walking and was an obvious irritation and maybe painful.  Wow, what a weight of her back.. literally!
