Hudson – April 2017

Hudson needs your prayers please! This Golden is only 10 months old and is in critical care with unknown cause still at this point for severe edema/swelling and poor liver values. He’s at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, and they’re doing all they can. The owners are exhausting all resources to cover expenses above our funding, but Hudson really needs some healing thoughts are prayers to help pull him through this...

Meet Harvey. He had exploratory surgery last night and the vet removed some plastic from his belly! It had been several days since ingested; he’s a lucky pup there wasn’t infection (sepsis) that set in. North Davidson Veterinary Hospital Welcome NC says he seems to be doing okay today so far. Yay!

We like to be about “happy tales” of people and pets kept together. Sometimes the ending is not what we hope, but part of our mission to bring light and medical clarity so that the decision to let go is not filled with guilt in addition to the grief of losing a family pet. Scrappy here was diagnosed with a spleen tumor that was far along in its growth. Taz – Helped April 2017

Meet Taz; he’s 12. Poor guy has been in and out of the vet since the end of February trying to treat a blood-related, auto-immune disease. He seemed to go back and forth with progress but hopefully now is at a point where he’s stabilizing. As a chronic issue, we couldn’t help with our ER fund, but was able to give a small payment towards more bloodwork to help out the family. Stay strong, Taz!

We’re helping Baby Girl here get surgery either tonight or tomorrow at North Davidson Veterinary Hospital Welcome NC to repair/wire multiple breaks in her jaw. Her owners are both on disability, and daddy lost his balance up the stairs and fell back on this lil’ girl. She’s lucky, actually, as it could have been much worse. Praying for your successful...

Hunter – Helped March 2017

5-month old Hunter here jumped out of his owner’s arms and broke four metacarpal bones (between the fingers and wrist). Youth is on his side, allowing for weekly splint changes to align and hold the bones so they may heal vs a very tricky, specialty surgery. Thank you VCA Legion Road Animal Hospital for your help and having a specialist take a look at this pup to advise proper treatment!
