Lexy – Helped Oct. 2018

We are sad to say that our assistance with Lexy was not able to go towards curable treatment. We do not pay for euthanasia, but when our approved $100 funding to help with medical treatment and diagnosis was met with the veterinarian’s poor prognosis, we knew it was the right thing to do. She had advanced pyometra, and she wasn’t even strong enough for the necessary surgery as the uterus may likely have already burst. At nine years old, Lexy was never spayed, which is the cause of this illness. Rest in peace, dear one.  Please, have your pets spayed and neutered. It really does...

Benji – Helped Oct. 2017

This post is in memory of a sweet pet that just passed today, Benji. At just two years old, we helped the owners pay for back Xrays and towards some bloodwork when he couldn’t walk well, and he wasn’t going to the bathroom. Harry – Helped Sept. 2017

Harry here is a 13-year-old Maltese. He had a growth on his foot that inhibited his ability to walk correctly, and he had some sores on his head that would not heal. The vet thought the sores on the head did not look like cancer (size, shape, etc.), and didn’t want necrotic tissue to set in from their inability to heal. We were able to help remove those areas on his head and toward two toe amputations. Happy healing, Harry!
