Here is a before and after photo of Leyna. We helped fund to remove this growth from her eye area via our general vet fund as it most likely was cancerous. The good news is we were one of a few agencies that helped Leyna, and the vet feels all of the mass/tissue was removed!!

We are not sure yet if this will be a success story or not… poor Luna jumped from someone’s arms and broke both legs on the ground. Miniature breeds like this are so fragile!  We helped her get Xrays, but the diagnosis is that she needs plates for both legs as it is very unlikely they will heal on their own. This is beyond the level of assistance of our organization so we are unsure of yet what the owner will opt to do.  We are hoping maybe they can get on leg done and we can apply our grant balance to that, but it is such an expensive surgery that they owner may not have funds...

Chocco – Helped Sept. 2015

Chocco had severe gastroenteritis – blood in vomit and stool.  He would not have made it if the owner did not take him to the ER vet immediately like she did! We were able to help with about 25% of the treatment cost – enough to allow the vet to work with her on payments.  He was in intensive care with fluids and meds for a couple days, but is now doing well at home 🙂
