Koda – Helped July 2015

Koda was beaten by a neighbor and suffered a broken jaw.  It was completely split and poor lil’ guy had to have two surgeries. Hopefully it will heal properly for a full recovery! He has to eat out of a feeding tube for now until the vet knows he can eat on his own.  We assisted, along with many other private donations and funding, to help save this precious animal.

Brody – Helped July 2015

Brody here is another pup we helped this week to get an ultrasound in order to diagnose why fluid was building up in the lungs and stomach. Abnormally low level of protein in the blood caused the dangerous fluid build up. Initial treatment with steroids and Vitamin B injections will hopefully help get him out of the woods. The owners are sooo thankful to know what the cause is so they can prepare for what will probably be an on-going care for this guy.

However, the specialist found esophagus strictures and diagnostics, let alone treatment (if it were found to even be...

Cam – Helped July 2015

Cam here is going in for ER surgery on Tuesday… his third one for what normally is a routine bladder stone surgery. But complications from its location and the vet sent Cam over to a specialist to remove it back in April. Since then, abnormal bleeding and healing caused an infection, UTI, and scabs that had to be removed. Now, the site has healed “inward” cutting off the flow from the urethra almost completely. We’ll keep you posted on his progress after surgery.

Gator – Helped July 2015

Gator had hip surgery (FHO) a few days ago after being jumped by a firework-spooked dog on July 4th. The owner gave him aspirin to help with pain, which can cause internal bleeding, so they had to flush his system out first. But all is well!  Gator went home yesterday after giving his “can I go home now?” face 🙂
