Bandit – Helped July 2014

This is Bandit before his disc injury. This 5-year-old little guy hasn’t been able to walk or stand on his own for a couple of weeks now while hoping traditional care with rest and Rx might reverse some of the paralysis. His mom is on disability with limited funds and hoped that might work. However, timing is of the essence since no improvement has been seen. We are happy to help provide funding towards Bandit’s specialty, neurological surgery.

Dixie had emergency surgery to remove several large bladder stones shown in this X-ray. She was in critical condition and had blood in her urine.  She did beautifully and back with her family.

Blackie – Helped July 2014

Look at Blackie’s adorable cast! She is a 3-month old kitten who has a fractured tibia joint near the ankle from an accident where her 5-year old human brother accidentally stepped back on to her.  We hope that splinting of the leg over four weeks will be enough to heal this very difficult, multiple fracture (it is right at the joint leading to the ankle).  The vet thinks that her young age may help her to heal quickly in this way and fuse together enough so that amputation or fusing surgery will not be necessary.

Tipsi – Helped July 2014

Tipsi had emergency surgery to remove an object from her intestines… it was a stuffed animal!  It had already been in there 10 days, so there is much damage to the tissue and she is not out of the woods yet.  She is being kept for observation to make sure she doesn’t bleed or leak. Please pray for her recovery!
