Carma – Helped February 2014

Meet Carma.  She was limping and licking her right rear hip.  We were able to get her a vet visit and Xrays. We are waiting on results, but it may be subluxation versus an injury.  More on this as we know more….

Miss Kitty – Helped February 2014

Miss Kitty went to a vet in November 2013 and was diagnosed with a UTI. Medicine did not help. This poor girl has been suffering because the owner could not afford to get her back in. We have a wonderful vet, Dr. Lorna McLeod, who I recommended we send Miss Kitty to because she is wonderful with difficult, feline urinary disease issues. Turns out with an x-ray, Miss Kitty has a bladder stone! No xrays were taken before. So she was sent home with some medicine and some new Rx food to hopefully shrink the stone. Harley – Helped February 2014

Harley now has a chance at life from an immune disease that is causing an anemia reaction and fast decreasing blood cell counts. He was listless today, very white, and the owners gave up hope. She was given a medical injection and some antibiotics. Back with her family now, it should heal up, but this sometimes has a chance for occurrence. Quick healing, Cha cha!

Ruckus – Helped February 2014

Meet young Ruckus.  This 2-year-old had a urinary blockage. Treatment is needed quickly for this issue as death can occur in as little as 12 hours sometimes!  His mommy took him to an ER vet and they drained the bladder for immediate relief.  We helped Ruckus get vet care the next day where he had a catheter and a hospital stay for five days.  Hopefully with medicine and a change in food/diet, Ruckus will be able to sustain good pH balance so the stones do not reoccur, or more major surgery could be needed.
